The ideal candidate has 3 years of related experience, strong communication, and the ability to present complex benefits clearly. Travel up to 50% may be required to support other bases.

Qualifications

• 3 years of work or military experience in training, education, career counseling, or human resources.
• Experience delivering workshops to military audiences is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to interpret non-verbal cues and connect with participants.
• Ability to adapt teaching style to meet participant needs.
• Able to read applications and government forms.
• Ability to learn new information quickly.
• Knowledge of military programs and benefits is strongly preferred.
• Must pass a two-week training course and background check.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to other military bases.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-hour and one-day briefings covering VA benefits.
• Set up briefing rooms, prepare materials, and secure equipment.
• Facilitate individualized discussions and assist with benefit applications.
• Refer clients to appropriate contacts and resources.
• Attend required training sessions and complete workshop reports.
