Job summary

Oncor Electric Delivery in Dallas seeks a Protection and Control (P&C) Engineering Specialist to install, test, and maintain protection, SCADA, and related communication equipment across substation projects in transmission and generation facilities.

You'll help develop testing plans, analyze relay and fault data, and provide technical direction to teams to ensure secure and reliable operation of ERCOT grid and power delivery throughout Texas. Military experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; pursuing Navy ETN or EMN training preferred.
• Military experience in electrical systems or related fields is valued.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in high-stakes environments.

Responsibilities

• Installs protection and control facilities, tests and calibrates equipment, and guides substation construction projects.
• Develops testing plans and maintains relaying equipment and SCADA to ensure system integrity.
• Monitors performance and analyzes fault data to suggest fixes and improvements.
• Develops procedures to ensure safe construction and maintenance activities.
