Job summary

Qualifications

• 1+ years of optometric or ophthalmic technician experience.
• Experience performing visual fields, OCTs and Fundus Photography.
• Computer skills with word processing, databases and spreadsheets.
• Must have own transportation for site travel.

Responsibilities

• Help the optometrist with procedures and patient care.
• Take patient histories and maintain the patient records system.
• Assist patients to select a suitable frame for their glasses.
• Demonstrate care and maintenance of lenses to patients.
• Repair minor issues with broken and damaged eyeglasses.
• Keep the office organized and presentable, and prepare exam room.
• Test visual acuity, depth perception, pressure and pupil reflexes.
