Job summary

HDR is seeking a Military Planner II to independently collect data, develop facility requirements and site alternatives for DoD installations. The role includes leading planning workshops, preparing narratives, and contributing to master planning documents.

Ideal candidates will have a degree in a related field, 4+ years of experience (DoD preferred), and the ability to travel nationally and internationally; a CAC background check may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related planning/design field.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience (DoD preferred).
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
• Must be able to pass a federal background check for CAC access.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze existing conditions data; develop facility requirements and project site alternatives.
• Lead planning workshops and prepare reports for installation master plans.
• Contribute to planning documents and workshop narratives with clear communication of risks and solutions.
