Job summary

HDR is seeking a Military Planner II to independently collect and analyze data, develop facility requirements, and contribute to installation master plans. The role involves planning workshops, stakeholder briefings, and producing report content with various software tools, with travel nationally and internationally.

A federal background check is required for access to DoD facilities. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's in a related field, have at least four years of relevant experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in urban, regional, or community planning or related fields.
• Minimum 4 years of prior relatable work experience (prefer DoD).
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
• Able to pass federal background check to obtain CAC.
• US Citizenship per client contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Independently collect and analyze existing conditions data and develop facility requirements.
• Guide or supervise development of project solutions, planning standards, and site alternatives.
• Prepare and facilitate planning workshops, stakeholder briefs and task meetings.
• Contribute to installation master planning documents (illustrative and written).
• Lead survey teams on site visits and project execution tasks.
