Job summary

Army National Guard Units in Kansas seeks a Military Funeral Honors Program Coordinator (GS-0301-09) to develop and coordinate the MFHP functions and ceremonies for service members and veterans.

The role acts as statewide coordinator to promote and coordinate MFHP with National Guard, veterans groups, and partner agencies; develops SOPs, policies, and procedures, while engaging Topeka and statewide partners.

Qualifications

• This is a National Guard Title 32 exclusive service position.
• Secret clearance is required.
• Compressed work schedule (5/4/9) with 80-hour pay period.

Responsibilities

• Perform program development and coordinate MFHP functions.
• Coordinate statewide MFHP promotion and coordination with guard units, veterans groups, and advocacy organizations.
• Develop, implement, interpret, and publish SOPs, policies, operating regulations, and procedures.
• Plan, develop, schedule, and recommend changes to MFHP.
• Create a cooperative network of agencies and individuals to improve MFHP.
• Other duties as assigned.
