Magellan Health, Inc. seeks a Personal Financial Counselor for the National Guard in Louisville, KY. You will deliver comprehensive financial counseling to service members and their families, develop spending plans, and provide education through classes and virtual sessions.

The role requires 3+ years of counseling experience, a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combinations), U.S. citizenship, and English fluency; Spanish bilingual preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Must have 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and fluent in English; bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
• If required by contract, must pass OCI/DoD disclosures.
• One of AFC/CFP/ChFC certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families.
• Assist clients in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
• Develop and distribute informational financial materials.
• Coordinate and conduct Personal Financial Management classes/workshops.
• Offer virtual counseling via web-based, chat, or video communications.
• Maintain DoD protocol in duty-to-warn situations.
• Communicate with leadership and participate in supervision and training.
• Engage in regular contract activities and quality improvement efforts.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
