Job summary

Magellan Health in the United States seeks a Personal Financial Counselor to provide counseling services to service members and their families at military installations. You will deliver one-on-one counseling, group briefings, and referrals, helping clients develop spending plans and manage finances throughout deployments and transitions.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent with relevant experience), 3+ years in financial counseling, U.S.

Qualifications

3+ years of financial counseling experience.
Bachelor's degree required.
Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
If required by the contract, bilingual in English and Spanish.
Must have AFC, CFP, or ChFC certification.

Responsibilities

Provides personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families.
Conducts one-on-one counseling and group briefings; develops spending plans.
Develops and distributes informational financial materials.
Coordinates and delivers PFM classes/workshops across the military lifecycle.
Utilizes virtual counseling modes as appropriate; adheres to DoD protocols.
Participates in supervision and contract activities; supports continuous improvement.
