Job summary

Magellan Health, Inc. seeks a Personal Financial Counselor (PFC) at Columbus AFB, MS to deliver financial counseling to service members and their families, and to lead DoD-aligned financial education programs.

You will coordinate classes, support budgeting for deployments, and use secure virtual communications when required. A Bachelor's degree and AFC/CFP/ChFC or equivalent certifications are required; U.S. citizenship and English fluency are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizen and fluent English.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish if required by contract.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Must pass DoD OCI and security requirements.
• Must have AFC, CFP, or ChFC certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling to service members and their families at military installations.
• Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
• Develop and provide informational financial materials.
• Coordinate and deliver Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle.
• Utilize virtual counseling or secure online communications when authorized.
• Follow DoD protocol for duty to warn and communicate trends in supervision meetings.
• All other duties as assigned.
