Job summary

Magellan Health, Inc. seeks a Personal Financial Counselor to provide one-on-one counseling and education to service members and their families at Fort Worth, TX. You will develop spending plans and deliver DoD‑aligned financial management classes, including briefings and referrals as needed.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in financial counseling, U.S. citizenship, English proficiency, and relevant AFC/CFP/ChFC credentials; bilingual ability may be required by

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizenship and fluency in English.
• May be bilingual in English and Spanish if required by contract.
• Must pass OCI process and a DoD security review.
• Certifications AFC/CFP/ChFC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families.
• Assists service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences.
• Develops and makes available informational financial materials to service members and families.
• Coordinates, publicizes and provides Personal Financial Management classes/workshops.
• Responds to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilizes virtual counseling or other electronic modes of communication.
• Manages duty to warn situations according to DoD protocol.
• Communicates with leadership and participates in supervision.
• Participates in regular in‑services/training and other contract activities.
• All other duties as assigned.
