Job summary

Magellan Federal - AFSC is seeking a Personal Financial Counselor (PFC) to provide comprehensive financial counseling to service members and their families at Columbus AFB, MS. The role includes education, budgeting support, and collaboration with installation leadership to ensure program success.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 3+ years of counseling experience, U.S. citizenship, and English fluency.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• Bachelor's degree required; may consider assoc degree +4 years in lieu of bachelor's.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and fluent in English.
• If required by the contract, bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Must have AFC, CFP, or ChFC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families.
• Develop and deliver financial education materials and classes/workshops.
• Assist in establishing spending plans for extended absences and meet DoD requirements.
• Coordinate with installation leadership and POC to ensure program effectiveness.
• Stay involved in supervision and training activities; participate in contract-related activities.
