Job summary

Magellan Health seeks a Personal Financial Counselor (PFC) in Duluth, MN to provide comprehensive financial counseling to service members and their families on military installations. Responsibilities include education, individual counseling, and coordinating DoD‑compliant workshops across installations.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), 3+ years in financial counseling, U.S. citizenship, fluency in English, and potential bilingual Spanish.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• May consider an Associate degree plus 4 years' experience in lieu of Bachelor's.
• May consider a high school diploma plus 6 years' experience in lieu of Bachelor's.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizenship and fluent English required; bilingual English/Spanish may be required.
• Able to obtain Tier 2 investigation and pass OCI disclosures.
• Certifications: AFC, CFP, or ChFC.

Responsibilities

• Provide full breadth of personal financial counseling to service members and families.
• Develop and deliver informational financial materials and workshops.
• Coordinate, publicize and provide Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across installations.
• Utilize virtual counseling or other electronic modes of communication as needed.
• Comply with DoD protocol and participate in supervision and training.
