Qualifications

• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and fluent in English.
• May require bilingual ability (English/Spanish).
• Must be able to obtain a Tier 2 investigation.
• Must pass the OCI disclosures process.
• One of AFC, CFP, or ChFC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families at military installations.
• Assist clients in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
• Develop and distribute informational financial materials for service members and families.
• Coordinate, publicize and deliver Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle.
• Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilize virtual counseling or other electronic communication modes (web chat, video, secure platforms) as authorized.
• Address duty-to-warn situations following DoD protocols.
• Communicate with leadership and participate in regular supervision and meetings.
• Participate in in-services, quality improvement committees, or other contract activities.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
