Pratt & Whitney, a leader in aerospace propulsion, seeks a seasoned professional to lead Military Engine proposal teams from pre‑RFP through award. You will manage planning, schedules, budgeting, and cross‑functional collaboration with U.S. Government customers to ensure compliant, high‑quality proposals.

The role requires 8+ years in DoD proposal or project management, DoD program experience, and the ability to obtain security clearance. Onsite work in East Hartford, CT, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Engineering, Finance, Business or related field required.
• 8+ years of experience in proposal management or project management within U.S. DoD or international military programs; or MA/MS with 5+ years of experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Military Engine proposal teams from pre-RFP stages through contract award, managing all aspects of proposal development including plans, schedules, budgeting, and coordination with internal teams and customers.
• Define proposal requirements with US Government entities; conduct fact-finding, RFI responses, negotiations, and final sweep; train teams in processes and tools.
• Review technical volumes for compatibility with BOEs.
• Participate in offer evaluations and negotiations.
• Drive continuous improvement within the Business Acquisition team to meet evolving customer needs; support USG meetings as requested.
• Ensure proposals meet USG requirements and P&W policies.
• Conduct After Action Review after submittal.
• Involve in driving change through the Business Acquisition Team.
