Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Aiken, SC is seeking a Testing Engineer-Military Engines to oversee diesel engine testing and verification. You will coordinate calibration, development, and field support across HiL/MiL test environments while collaborating with global engineering teams.

The role requires strong diesel engine knowledge, CAN-Bus troubleshooting, and experience with test cells, wiring diagrams, and data acquisition. On-site work with flexible hours is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Automotive Engineering and relevant testing experience.
• Experience calibrating combustion engines in dynamometer cells and in the field.
• Ability to work flexible hours and U.S. citizenship possibly required.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight to ensure engine tests meet business, customer and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate development, calibration and verification tasks in dynamometer test cells and HiL/MiL setups.
• Support and troubleshoot field issues, integrate across engineering teams, and coach junior engineers.
• Read wiring diagrams and configure harnesses for vehicles and test benches as needed.
• Assist with commissioning, testing prototype engines and early production units with customers.
• Document work per engineering standards and manage project status and budget.
