Job summary

NAVFAC SOUTHWEST is seeking an Interdisciplinary General Engineer/Architect to manage projects within the Planning, Design, and Construction Directorate in San Diego. You will oversee military construction projects and provide technical decisions on scheduling, funding, and contracts.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in engineering/architecture to complete military construction projects.
• Management of capital improvement from conception to close-out (scope, schedule, cost).
• Monitor project resources and take corrective actions when needed.
• Provide input for resolving design or criteria changes and for contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Manage project management for military construction projects.
• Render technical decisions on scheduling, funding, and contract interpretations for execution of projects.
• Identify design/construction risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Serve on Selection Boards and recommend contract awards for A-E and construction.
• Liaise between project team and Supported Commander.
