Job description

This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Office of Facility Management and Construction in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The incumbent develops project plans for facilities management, oversees design, manages contracts, monitors budgets, and ensures compliance with project scope guidelines for architectural and engineering activities.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

In addition to meeting the basic requirements, you must meet the minimum qualification requirements for the position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS GS-11
  • 1) Assisting in managing construction projects from the planning and design phase to the close out phase;
  • 2) Preparing or reviewing cost estimates and schedules for design and construction projects;
  • 3) Preparing project information materials for briefings.

OR

Three full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education or a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or a L.L.M. in a related field of study.

OR

A combination of specialized experience and education that totals 100% of the experience requirement.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS GS-12
  • 1) Managing construction projects from the planning and design phase to the close out phase;
  • 2) Preparing cost estimates and/or budgets and schedules for design and construction projects;
  • 3) Preparing and presenting project information orally and in writing;
  • 4) Coordinating work with staff in an engineering or architectural field.
