Job summary

Hawaii Pacific University seeks a Base Assistant - Marine Programs to monitor the Kaneohe Marine Corp Base Education Building and support university operations.

The role includes opening classrooms, securing facilities, managing access for students and faculty, distributing audiovisual equipment, and assisting with general office tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service and communication skills, be able to work varied shifts, and obtain base credentials as required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Six months of general office experience with customer service.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Outlook).
• Experience operating audiovisual equipment (projectors, DVD players, etc.).
• Able to work weekdays, weekends, evenings and holidays including all shifts.

Responsibilities

• Facility security: ensure scheduled classes are ready and secure, patrol premises, complete daily access checks.
• Classroom and equipment: locate classrooms, manage audiovisual gear, transport equipment, assist with setup and operation.
• General office duties: assist with filing and office processes as directed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned and supports seasonal peaks.
