Job summary

Santa Rosa Behavioral Healthcare Hospital seeks a Milieu Manager to support nursing staff and supervise MHTs on the floor, maintaining a therapeutic milieu and patient safety. This role requires de-escalation skills, program oversight, and collaboration with the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities include training staff, coordinating unit safety checks, and ensuring quality patient care. A bachelor's degree and supervisory experience in mental health are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and experience in inpatient/outpatient psychiatric settings preferred.
• Minimum five years in a psychiatric setting with understanding patient care techniques.
• Two or more years of supervision experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, facilitating and evaluating MHT activities with safety oversight.
• Monitor adherence to unit/program rules and safety checks.
• Use de-escalation and therapeutic intervention techniques when needed.
• Provide structure and safety to milieu environments per procedures.
• Train and mentor staff; deliver performance feedback and development.
• Support MHTs and MHT Leads through orientation and competency efforts.
