Job summary

Compass Intervention Center seeks a Milieu Manager to supervise MHTs on shift, ensuring duties, compliance, and therapeutic milieu for patients. The role involves enforcing policies, educating staff, and collaborating with leadership.

The Milieu Manager will support crisis intervention, maintain unit programming, and promote a positive work environment while coordinating with directors and supervisors. Requires healthcare leadership experience and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience with a psychiatric patient population; inpatient experience preferred.
• Education: High School Diploma required; advanced degree preferred in psychology or related field.
• CPR certification and excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of group processes and crisis management with aggressive behavior.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and oversight to MHTs during shifts; ensure duties are performed and policies are followed.
• Educate staff and implement new policies and procedures as directed by leadership.
• Communicate effectively with Director of Patient Services, ADON, Nursing Supervisors, and HR.
• Resolve conflicts and maintain a positive, therapeutic milieu for patients.
• Assist with crisis intervention and ensure unit programming is followed.
• Conduct audits and ensure monthly data is collected and accurately input.
