Qualifications

• Associates degree required and Bachelor degree preferred.
• Minimum one (1) year prior experience in Psychology and/or related field, working with specialized populations such as emotionally disturbed adults, adolescents and/or children and families.

Responsibilities

• Assists the nursing staff in maintaining a therapeutic milieu/environment.
• Acts as a cofacilitator in unit-based therapeutic groups under Nurse Manager.
• Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, provides individualized patient care to insure the safety and dignity of the patient.
• Collaborates with members of multidisciplinary team offering suggestions and recommendations on addressing patient/family needs.
• Participates in unit activities and interdisciplin staff meetings; reads and signs minutes if unable to attend.
