Arms Acres Inc. is seeking a Milieu Counselor for Day and Evening shifts at our Carmel, NY campus. Under supervision, you will observe patients, maintain confidentiality, and support crisis response; you will also conduct lectures and groups and document observations.

Responsibilities include room checks, following supervisor directions, and providing direct patient care experience. Eligible for weekend and night differential; competitive wages and equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in human services or healthcare with direct patient care is preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of alcoholism and addiction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe patient's behavior and record observations in chart or communication log; report to supervisor as needed.
• Conduct assigned lectures and groups.
• Perform room checks in patient rooms during shifts and document results.
• Follow directions of the immediate supervisor in crisis or emergency situations.
