Job summary

Arms Acres Inc. in Carmel, NY is seeking a Milieu Counselor to join our clinical team.

The role reports to the Shift Supervisor, Clinical Manager and/or Program Director and focuses on building interpersonal relationships with patients, maintaining confidentiality, and following safety protocols during crises. Responsibilities include observing patients, recording observations in charts or logs, assisting with room checks, and delivering lectures and group sessions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in human services or healthcare with direct patient care is preferred.
• Knowledge of alcoholism and addiction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe patient's behavior and record observations in chart and/or communication log.
• Conduct room checks in all patient rooms and document accordingly.
• Conduct assigned lectures and groups.

Friday and Saturday 6am-2;30pm

Sunday- Thrusday 8am-4;30pm

Thursday,Friday, Sat and sundays 8am-4;30pm

Tues,Thrusday 6am-2;30pm

Saturday and Sunday 8am-4;30pm

Tues-Sat 8am-4;30pm

Arms Acres is looking for highly motivated Milieu Counselor to join our team in Carmel, NY. The Milieu Counselor functions under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor, Clinical Manager and/or Program Director. In this role, you will establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with patients' visitors and other facility personnel while assuring confidentiality of patient information. The appropriate candidate will observe patient's behavior and record observation either in chart and/or communication log, reports and follows direction of immediate supervisor in the event of crisis or emergency situation. This position participates in conducting room checks in all patient rooms as required throughout shift and document(s) appropriately. This candidate will conduct assigned lectures and groups.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), experience in human services or healthcare field, with direct patient care experience and knowledge and understanding of alcoholism and addiction is preferred.
