Job summary

Concern Housing is seeking a Part-time Weekday Overnight Counselor in Middle Island, NY. The role requires a high school diploma and at least two years of relevant experience, with weekend shifts on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 6pm.

You will provide counseling and direct care, document activities, monitor medications, and collaborate with coordinators to support residents in maintaining safe living environments.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent along with at least two years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Provides counseling and crisis intervention services to clients as needed.
• Provides direct care services to clients, including activities related to building and reinforcing daily living skills.
• Completes necessary and required documentation in a timely manner.
• Performs unit inspections; provides support and education to clients regarding maintaining living environments in a clean, safe manner.
• Monitors medications as needed.
• Collaborates with Service Coordinators regarding client concerns, including issues related to apartment maintenance or ADL skills.
• Attends weekly supervision and staff meetings.
• Remain current with all Agency required compliance documents and trainings.
• Performs other assignments as assigned by Supervisor.

Days/Hours

Saturday & Sunday; 10am - 6pm

Position Requirements

Requires a minimum of a high school diploma with two years of experience. Work experience in a similar setting is a plus. References should indicate a history of a responsible, consistent employee or student.
