Job summary

ERC Pathlight in Illinois is seeking a Milieu Coordinator I/II to support inpatient, residential, and partial hospital programs. You’ll facilitate curriculum-based groups, monitor meals, and document progress while contributing to a safe, therapeutic milieu.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in behavioral health and relevant experience; opportunities exist to advance to MC II with expanded responsibilities and supervision under our clinical leadership. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in behavioral health or related field required.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in behavioral health or related field required for MC I.
• Minimum 18 months of experience in behavioral health or related field required (MC II) or master’s degree waived.
• Graduate degree in mental health or related field preferred; intern/associate license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates curriculum-based groups.
• Provides meal monitoring and support.
• Documents groups, meals, and patient check-ins/observations.
• Supports milieu team including de-escalation and crisis management.
• Monitors bathrooms and outdoor breaks.
• Conducts self-harm and suicide risk assessments.
• Supports morning routines in IP/Res programs; collects weights, vitals, and urine where applicable.
• Leads advanced groups (MC II) and implements individual behavior plans.
