Job summary

Albany Medical College is seeking a fellowship-trained Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon to join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and contribute to its Complex Benign Gynecology Program.

The successful candidate will join a growing regional referral practice focused on advanced benign gynecologic disease, minimally invasive surgery, multidisciplinary care, education, and academic development.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Eligible for New York Medical License.
• Completion of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) fellowship.
• Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized evaluation and longitudinal management of patients with complex benign gynecologic conditions.
• Perform advanced MIGS procedures including complex laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
• Develop multidisciplinary care pathways with gynecologic imaging, urology, colorectal surgery, gynecologic oncology, and other relevant specialties.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient care within the complex benign gynecology practice.
• Teach and mentor medical students and residents in MIS and advanced benign gynecologic surgery.
• Engage in quality improvement, outcomes research, and scholarly activity.
• Contribute to development of Albany Medical Center's Complex Benign Gynecology Program.

Education

MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school
