Job summary

Albany Medical College is seeking a full-time, fellowship trained Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon to join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and contribute to the continued development of its Complex Benign Gynecology Program.

The successful candidate will join a growing regional referral practice focused on advanced benign gynecologic disease, minimally invasive surgery, multidisciplinary care, education, and academic development.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and NY license eligibility
• Completion of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) fellowship
• Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized evaluation and longitudinal management of patients with complex benign gynecologic conditions such as endometriosis, adenomyosis, chronic pelvic pain, and complex fibroids
• Perform advanced minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including complex laparoscopic and robotic procedures
• Develop multidisciplinary care pathways for patients with complex pelvic disease in collaboration with imaging, urology, colorectal surgery, gynecologic oncology, and others
• Provide inpatient and outpatient care for patients within the complex benign gynecology practice and participate in subspecialty clinical coverage
• Teach and mentor medical students and residents, including operative education in minimally invasive surgery
• Participate in quality improvement, outcomes measurement, research and scholarly activity
• Contribute to the Albany Medical Center Complex Benign Gynecology Program development
