Job summary

Albany Medical College is seeking a full-time, fellowship trained Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon to join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and contribute to the continued development of its Complex Benign Gynecology Program .

The successful candidate will join a growing regional referral practice focused on advanced benign gynecologic disease, minimally invasive surgery, multidisciplinary care, education, and academic development.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and NY Medical License eligibility.
• Successful completion of a Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) fellowship.
• Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized evaluation and longitudinal management of patients with complex benign gynecologic conditions, including endometriosis, adenomyosis, chronic pelvic pain, and complex fibroids.
• Perform advanced minimally invasive gynecologic surgery with emphasis on individualized, evidence-based management of complex benign disease.
• Participate in multidisciplinary care pathways with gynecologic imaging, urology, colorectal surgery, and other specialties.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient care within the complex benign gynecology practice and participate in subspecialty clinical coverage.
• Teach and mentor medical students and residents, including operative education in minimally invasive surgery.
• Engage in quality improvement, outcomes measurement, research and scholarly activity.
