Job summary

Albany Med Health System is seeking a full-time fellowship-trained Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon to join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and contribute to the development of its Complex Benign Gynecology Program.

The successful candidate will join a growing regional referral practice focused on advanced benign gynecologic disease, minimally invasive surgery, multidisciplinary care, education, and academic development.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Successful completion of a Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) fellowship.
• Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized evaluation and longitudinal management of patients with complex benign gynecologic conditions.
• Perform advanced minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including complex laparoscopic and robotic procedures.
• Participate in and expand multidisciplinary care pathways for complex pelvic disease with relevant specialties.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient care within the complex benign gynecology practice and participate in subspecialty clinical coverage.
• Teach and mentor medical students and residents, including operative education in minimally invasive and advanced benign gynecologic surgery.
• Participate in quality improvement, outcomes measurement, research, and scholarly activity.
• Contribute to the development of Albany Medical Center's Complex Benign Gynecology Program.
