Job summary

Albany Medical College is seeking a full-time, fellowship-trained Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon to join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and contribute to its Complex Benign Gynecology Program.

The successful candidate will join a growing regional referral practice focused on advanced benign gynecologic disease, minimally invasive surgery, multidisciplinary care, education, and academic development.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and NY medical license or eligibility.
• Completion of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) fellowship.
• Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized evaluation and longitudinal management of complex benign gynecologic conditions (endometriosis, adenomyosis, chronic pelvic pain, fibroids).
• Perform advanced minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including complex laparoscopic and robotic procedures.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary care pathways with imaging, urology, colorectal surgery, gynecologic oncology, and other specialties.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient care within the complex benign gynecology practice and participate in subspecialty coverage.
• Teach and mentor medical students and residents in minimally invasive and advanced benign gynecologic surgery.
• Engage in quality improvement, outcomes research, and scholarly activity.
• Contribute to Albany Medical Center's Complex Benign Gynecology Program development.
