Job summary

Albany Medical College is seeking a full-time, fellowship trained Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon to join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and contribute to the continued development of its Complex Benign Gynecology Program.

The successful candidate will join a growing regional referral practice focused on advanced benign gynecologic disease, minimally invasive surgery, multidisciplinary care, education, and academic development.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Successful completion of a Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) fellowship.
• Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized evaluation and longitudinal management of patients with complex benign gynecologic conditions (eg, endometriosis, adenomyosis, chronic pelvic pain, complex fibroids).
• Perform advanced minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including complex laparoscopic and robotic procedures.
• Collaborate with imaging, urology, colorectal surgery, gynecologic oncology for multidisciplinary care pathways.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient care within the complex benign gynecology practice and participate in subspecialty clinical coverage.
• Teach and mentor medical students and residents, including operative education in MIS and advanced benign gynecologic surgery.
• Participate in quality improvement, outcomes measurement, research and scholarly activity.
• Contribute to development of Albany Medical Center's Complex Benign Gynecology Program.
