Job summary

Albany Medical College is seeking a highly qualified full-time Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon to join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and advance its Complex Benign Gynecology Program.

The successful candidate will join a growing regional referral practice focused on advanced benign gynecologic disease, minimally invasive surgery, multidisciplinary care, education, and academic development.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) fellowship.
• Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Eligible for New York Medical License.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized evaluation and longitudinal management of patients with complex benign gynecologic conditions.
• Perform advanced minimally invasive gynecologic surgery including complex laparoscopic and robotic procedures.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary care pathways with imaging, urology, colorectal surgery, and gynecologic oncology.
• Inpatient and outpatient care within the complex benign gynecology practice and coverage.
• Teach and mentor medical students and residents, including operative education.
• Participate in quality improvement, outcomes research, and scholarly activity.
• Contribute to Albany Medical Center's Complex Benign Gynecology Program development.
