Job summary

MiTek is seeking a Welder to perform MIG welding and fabrication of Hardy Frame structural steel panels in a high-precision shop environment. You will read blueprints, interpret weld symbols, and maintain tolerances throughout fabrication to meet stringent quality standards.

Responsibilities include inspecting welds, verifying dimensions with tape measures and calipers, and adhering to safety protocols while achieving production goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of MIG welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication specifications.
• Experience with dimensional tolerances and quality inspection preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding of Hardy Frame panels and structural steel components per drawings and specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, work orders, and fabrication specs.
• Weld and fabricate 10-gauge, 12-gauge structural steel components with tolerances.
• Inspect welds for quality, penetration, fit-up, appearance, and conformance to specs.
• Verify dimensions using measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, squares).
• Report quality concerns and assist in corrective actions and rework.
