Job summary

Terex is seeking a MIG welding operator in the United States to assemble steel fabrications per job orders and drawings. The role emphasizes following safety and quality standards while maintaining production pace.

You will read drawings, weld components, and verify quality using tapes and fixtures. The position supports a second shift with a $1.00 premium and requires basic fabrication knowledge and a willingness to work with common shop tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• MIG ARC welding vocation training preferred but not required.
• Preferred experience in manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of basic fabrication practices and materials is preferred, as is general mechanical knowledge.
• Willing to use air, power and hand tools, including cutting torches and grinders.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Terex safety policies and procedures.
• Performs in position MIG welding of tack-welded components.
• Assembles and tack-welds steel frames and other component parts of machinery and equipment in preparation for final welding.
• Able to produce strong quality welds that meet site quality standards.
• Uses locating fixtures and positioners to assist in the welding process.
• Understanding of the metal fabricating processes.
• Reads and understands drawings and welding symbols.
• Utilizes quality checks to meet product standards.
• Able to read a tape measure and blueprints.
• Able to practice 5S within assigned area.
• Able to maintain standard production times while maintaining quality work.
• Any other duties as assigned.
