Job summary

Terex Corporation is hiring an MIG Welder in Durand, MI to assemble steel fabrications per job orders and engineering drawings. You will weld tack-welded components, read drawings, and maintain safety and quality standards on the shop floor.

You'll use locating fixtures, measure with a tape, and apply 5S practices while meeting production targets. This full-time on-site role offers a stable schedule with shift premium on second shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• MIG welding training preferred but not required.
• Experience in manufacturing environment desirable.
• Knowledge of fabrication practices and materials helpful.
• Willing to use hand tools and grinders.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Terex safety policies and procedures
• MIG welding of tack-welded components
• Assemble and tack-weld steel frames and other parts for final welding
• Produce strong quality welds meeting site quality standards
• Use locating fixtures and positioners
• Understand metal fabrication processes
• Read and understand drawings and welding symbols
• Use quality checks to meet product standards
• Read tape measures and blueprints
• Practice 5S within assigned area
• Maintain standard production times while ensuring quality
• Other duties as assigned
