Job summary

Lenco Armored Vehicles is seeking a Second Shift Welder / Fabricator to join our U.S.-based manufacturing team. The role focuses on welding and fabricating steel components used in armored vehicle assembly, with emphasis on MIG welding and reading fabrication prints.

The ideal candidate will have strong MIG welding experience, the ability to read drawings, and pride in producing high-quality, safety-critical work in a modern facility.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong MIG welding skills (TIG experience a plus).
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints.
• Experience working with steel and structural components.
• Comfortable using grinders, saws, and fabrication tools.
• High attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on steel components and assemblies.
• Fabricate parts according to engineering drawings, prints, and work orders.
• Fit, tack, and assemble components prior to final welding.
• Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Grind, clean, and finish welds to meet quality and appearance standards.
• Inspect welds for accuracy, penetration, and structural integrity.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
