Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with welding exposure.
• Knowledge of welding processes and equipment.
• Ability to weld vertical, flat and overhead with good penetration.
• Ability to read blueprints and AWS symbols accurately.
• Mathematical skills including metric measurements and angles.
• Able to operate acetylene torches and welding fixtures safely.
• Forklift and overhead crane operation capability desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set welding machine parameters for the material being welded.
• Weld to meet print specifications with proper penetration.
• Produce strong, penetrated, smooth, non-porous welds.
• Follow procedures and use fixtures to assist assembly.
• Operate robotic weld cell as assigned.
• Verify finished parts meet print specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain tools, fixtures, and machines; keep area clean.
