Job summary

The Toro Company is seeking a Welder I for theWeatherford, TX area. The role involves hand welding components, assembling equipment, and performing related duties in a manufacturing environment.

You will read blueprints, set up fixtures, operate MIG welding equipment, and verify weld quality while using hand and air tools. The position requires physical capability and basic math/clerical skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Have appropriate MIG welding experience OR have completed a formal welding training program (or the equivalent in training and experience).
• Pass required entry-level plate test for production welding.
• Have appropriate mechanical skills, including experience using hand and air-powered tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, etc.).
• Have appropriate reading, clerical, and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Read information from blueprints, technical manuals or other documents.
• Set up fixtures, mount parts in fixtures, and perform mechanical assembly using hand and air tools.
• Use a hoist to lift and position large components and weldments.
• Set up, adjust, and operate MIG welding equipment to weld machine components.
• Remove components from fixtures, clean and inspect welds for quality and deficiencies.
• Record inventory transactions and check location using a computer.
