Job summary

The Rotex Group in Cincinnati, Ohio, is seeking an experienced MIG Welder / Fabricator to join our 2nd shift team. You will perform manual and semi-automatic welding on carbon steel and ferrous components, following welding procedures and drawings to build steel weldments for industrial separation equipment.

You’ll read blueprints, use calipers and gauges, maintain weld quality, and perform pre/post-weld inspections. Training on 1st shift will transition to 2nd shift, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on welding and fabrication in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven skill in MIG (GMAW), FCAW, and SMAW on carbon steel or other ferrous materials.
• Welding certification from an accredited institution and the ability to weld to a WPS.
• Ability to read and apply fabrication blueprints and welding symbols.
• Comfortable using fixtures, clamps, measuring tools and shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and semi-automatic welding on ferrous components using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW.
• Fabricate structural weldments from 16-gauge to heavy plate steel per drawings.
• Measure and layout parts with calipers, squares, rulers; ensure alignment.
• Interpret welding symbols and fabrication blueprints to determine welds and sequence.
• Perform all-position welding and pre-/post-weld inspections for quality.
• Carry out routine maintenance on torches, power sources, wire feeders.
• Collaborate with welders and fabrication team; support safe, on-time delivery.
