Job summary

Rotex Global, LLC in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a MIG Welder/Fabricator to build steel weldments for industrial separation equipment. You will work second shift, with training on first shift, and potential overtime to meet safety and quality standards.

You’ll read blueprints, set up fixtures, and perform all-position welding across 16-ga to heavy plate steel while maintaining rigorous quality control and safety.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Proven skill in MIG (GMAW), FCAW, and SMAW on carbon steel or other ferrous materials.
• Welding certification from an accredited institution and the ability to weld to a WPS.
• Ability to read and apply fabrication blueprints and welding symbols for fit-up, weld size, and sequence.
• Comfortable using fixtures, clamps, and common shop tools; able to train on 1st shift and transition to 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and semi-automatic welding on ferrous components using SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW.
• Joint preparation, fit-up, tack welding, torch cutting, and final weld-out per WPS.
• Fabricate structural and non-structural weldments from 16-gauge to heavy plate steel per drawings.
• Use calipers, squares, straightedges, and rulers to lay out and align parts prior to welding.
• Interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication blueprints for weld configurations and sequences.
• Perform all-position welding and conduct pre- and post-weld inspections for quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Carry out routine preventive maintenance on welding equipment and identify when service is needed.
• Contribute to cross-functional tasks within fabrication and support team safety and quality standards.
