Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a MIG Welder for custom aluminum and steel fabrication in Warren, MI. You will weld aluminum primarily, read blueprints, and work from work orders to produce welds for car wash canopies, poles, signage, and bases.

Expect to handle parts up to 1/2 inch thick in a prototype shop setting. Growth-minded candidates with 3+ years of MIG welding on aluminum, experience reading drawings, and a credentialed welding background will thrive here.

Qualifications

• 3+ years MIG welding experience on aluminum.
• Ability to weld materials up to 1/2 inch thick.
• Experience in a prototype or custom shop environment.
• 2+ years post and tube welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints/diagrams/work orders.

Responsibilities

• MIG weld aluminum (about 90%) and steel (about 10%) per specs.
• Set up and adjust MIG welding equipment for aluminum and steel.
• Weld components up to 1/2 inch thick with quality and safety standards.
• Inspect welds and assemblies and perform repairs as needed.
