Aerotek is seeking an experienced TIG Welder for a growing fabrication shop in Shakopee, MN. Work on aluminum, stainless, and mild steel on custom projects with opportunities to perform MIG welding as needed. The role emphasizes quality, safety, and collaboration across teams.

The position offers two shifts with competitive pay and a contract-to-hire path. You will fabricate from blueprints, maintain a clean workspace, and contribute to on-time project completion.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of TIG welding experience or a welding degree/certificate.
• Experience welding aluminum and stainless steel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Experience with grinding and finishing welds.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently while meeting production goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum weldments, including hydraulic reservoirs and custom components.
• Complete occasional MIG welding as project requirements dictate.
• Fabricate and assemble parts using blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Work with materials from 12-gauge to 1/4-inch thickness.
• Grind, clean, and finish welds to meet quality standards.
• Inspect finished work for accuracy and quality before moving to the next production stage.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Collaborate with fabrication and production teams to meet customer specs and deadlines.
