Job summary

Magline in Standish, MI is seeking a Welder to join our production team. You will MIG-weld aluminum and steel, operate basic machinery, and help ensure on-time completion of work orders while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

This on-site role requires 1–3 years welding experience, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and the ability to read and interpret instructions and safety rules. You will also complete Magline’s math and welding tests and participate in continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years welding experience required.
• MIG aluminum & steel welding experience preferred.
• Ability to pass Magline welding and basic math tests.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Weld aluminum and steel using MIG techniques.
• Perform minor set-ups to machinery and equipment.
• Maintain accurate production activity records (work orders, etc.).
• Monitor quality and inspect first/last piece for accuracy.
• Audit material quality and assist with SDMRs as needed.
• Inspect using measuring devices and fixtures.
• Assist with process capability studies and data collection.
