Waltonen Engineering is seeking a Welder to join our Michigan team. Responsibilities include completing GTAW/TIG and GMAW/MIG welds for automotive, aerospace, defense, and energy projects, and welding aluminum and steel after reviewing CAD prints.

The role emphasizes safety and adherence to welding procedures. You will maintain a clean, organized workspace, assist with inspections, and pursue operator certifications, with overtime as needed.

Formación

• 2+ years TIG welding and fabrication experience.
• Basic understanding of prints and GD&T.
• Experience using power tools and performing equipment maintenance.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze prints/CAD to fit up, tack, and weld GTAW/TIG and GMAW/MIG.
• Weld aluminum and steel per WPS; follow process requirements.
• Set up, measure, and weld components; maintain workspace cleanliness.
• Complete in-process/pre-weld inspection checklists and documentation.
• Be prepared for inspections by a CWI and earn operator certifications.
