Job summary

Schaffer Manufacturing is seeking skilled welders to join our Milwaukee-area manufacturing team. You will read blueprints, interpret welding symbols, and apply multiple welding techniques to fabricate and assemble components on the shop floor.

Qualified candidates will pass 2G GMAW and 2G MCAW proficiency tests, demonstrate fit-up ability, and inspect welds for quality. On-campus childcare and comprehensive benefits support work-life balance and career growth.

• Proficient in reading welding symbols and blueprints.
• Capable of performing multiple welding techniques and positions.
• Experience with fit-up and welding tests is preferred.
• Ability to pass 2G GMAW and 2G MCAW proficiency tests.

2nd shift: 15% shift differential 4, 10 hour days Monday-Thursday
Weekend shift: 15% shift differential, work 36 and get paid for 40. 3, 12-hour days Friday- Sunday

Qualified candidates will have the following abilities:

• Comprehension of welding symbols.
• Ability to interpret blueprints.
• Familiar and capable of performing multiple welding techniques.
• Fit-up experience preferred.
• Ability to pass 2G GMAW and 2G MCAW proficiency tests.
• Ability to inspect weld conformity.
• Can weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
