Job summary

Ōnin Staffing is hiring MIG Welders for a full-time opportunity in a growing manufacturing operation in Tennessee. You will read mechanical drawings, confidently set up and operate MIG welding equipment, and take pride in producing clean, quality welds.

A 3G Horizontal MIG Weld test is required and your experience can influence starting pay. The more experience you bring, the more you can earn, with weekly pay and benefits after 30 days.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to pass a 3G Horizontal MIG Weld test.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and weld symbols.
• Experience operating MIG welding equipment and basic tools.
• Ability to inspect your own welds for quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding and related weld preparation and finishing operations.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, weld symbols, and specifications.
• Set up and make adjustments to welding equipment for production requirements.
• Produce quality welds that meet established workmanship and customer standards.
• Perform weld finishing using grinders and scaling tools.
• Use weld gauges and visually inspect completed welds for quality and compliance.
• Use flow meters and other welding-related equipment as required.
• Perform both routine and moderately complex welding assignments.
• Identify and resolve routine welding or production issues.
• Follow established quality, safety, and production procedures.
• Maintain required production schedules while delivering consistent workmanship.
• Use basic computer functions for departmental tasks.
• Work safely and in accordance with applicable industry standards and internal procedures.

What You'll Do as a MIG Welder:

Skills and Experience

What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:

• MIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment; 1–2 years preferred, with 5+ years highly preferred
• Ability to pass a 3G Horizontal MIG Weld test and demonstrate quality welds in vertical and overhead positions
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand weld symbols and requirements
• Experience operating and adjusting MIG welding equipment, along with basic welding tools such as grinders and weld gauges
• Basic ability to inspect your own welds for quality and accuracy
• Dependable, safety-minded, and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and meet production schedules
