Job description

A well-established manufacturing company in Montclair, CA is seeking a skilled MIG Welder for a direct-hire opportunity on a consistent Monday through Friday day shift. This role is ideal for a hands-on welding professional with at least one year of MIG welding experience who takes pride in producing clean, accurate, high-quality welds.

The MIG Welder will support production of custom commercial lighting fixtures and metal components in a stable manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on custom commercial lighting fixtures, metal components, and assemblies.
• Set up and operate MIG welding equipment according to job specifications and production requirements.
• Prepare, position, fit, and weld metal parts using basic drawings, measurements, and work instructions.
• Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, consistency, and overall workmanship.
• Use hand tools, power tools, grinders, and measuring equipment to support fabrication and finishing.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety and production procedures.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: $22.00 to $26.00 per hour, depending on experience.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Perform MIG welding on commercial lighting fixtures and custom metal components.
• Fit, prepare, and weld metal assemblies according to measurements and work instructions.
• Inspect welds to ensure quality, consistency, and production standards are met.
• Support production goals while maintaining a safe and organized work area.
• 1+ year of hands‑on MIG welding experience.
• Experience welding metal components, assemblies, or fabricated parts.
• Ability to produce clean, consistent MIG welds.
• Ability to read measurements, follow work instructions, and work from basic drawings.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, grinders, and measuring equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Reliable attendance, dependable work ethic, and ability to work in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to work well with production team members to meet quality and output goals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual English and Spanish skills are a plus.
• Prior experience in metal fabrication, fixture manufacturing, or custom production welding is preferred.
