Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a dedicated welder for our Walker, MI plant on the 10:30 PM–6:30 AM Sunday–Thursday shift. You will repair non-conforming parts by welding and grinding, move components around the facility, and participate in preventive actions to keep our operations running smoothly.

Requirements include 3–5 years of relevant experience, Mig/Tig welding certification, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years in relevant work experience.
  • Certified in mig and/or tig welding.
  • Able to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level sufficient to safely and effectively perform job duties.

Responsibilities

  • Repair parts/components non-conforming to customer specs by welding, grinding, or other methods.
  • Follow safety procedures and protocols while servicing or maintaining equipment.
  • Repair parts/components Mig/Tig welds as needed.
  • Move parts to correct location in the plant/facility.
  • Participate in preventative actions and housekeeping as required.
  • Utilize Plexus ERP system to track work.
  • Maintain welding equipment.
