Job summary

Sealed Air in Massachusetts is seeking a Welder for our 1st shift (7:30 am – 4:00 pm). You will weld metal parts using MIG or TIG on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, with responsibilities spanning from preheating to quality inspection.

The role requires reading blueprints, adhering to safety practices, and a willingness to learn our processes. Ideal candidates have 2 years MIG/TIG experience, ability to lift 50+ lbs, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

2 years MIG and TIG welding experience preferred.
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

Weld metal parts using MIG or TIG on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
Preheat workpieces prior to welding with torch.
Inspect workpieces for defects using straightedge or templates for conformance.
Dismantle metal assemblies or cut scrap metal with flame-cutting or plasma-arc equipment as needed.
Select and position torch tips or welding rod according to material type and thickness.
Fuse parts, seal tension points and add metal to build up parts.
Maintain safe operations by following safety procedures.
