Sealed Air Corporation's manufacturing facility in Ayer, MA is seeking a Welder for 1st shift (7:30 am – 4:00 pm). The role requires MIG/TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, plus knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control.

Responsibilities include preheating, inspecting workmanship, dismantling/scrapping as needed, selecting proper tools, and maintaining safe operations. Pay ranges from $22.00 to $24.00 per hour with full benefits.

Qualifications

• 2 years MIG welding and TIG welding experience preferred.
• 2 years experience in metal fabrication preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
• Familiar with Lean Six Sigma concepts preferred.
• Able to follow SOPs and maintain safety.

Responsabilités

• Weld metal parts using MIG or TIG on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Preheat workpieces with torch.
• Inspect workpieces for defects and conformance with specifications.
• Dismantle metal assemblies or cut scrap metal as needed.
• Select and position welding/ cutting tools according to material and thickness.
• Maintain safe operations and contribute to process improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
